Interviews with Long-Time Hollis Residents

Have you seen our YouTube channel yet? These terrific videos were created by Jill Arabas of Hollis. She interviewed many long-time Hollis residents, used an array of photos of old Hollis scenes from the Wheeler House, then added a complimentary music background....and VOILA...MAGIC!

To view the interviews, visit our
YouTube channel or click on the residents name listed on this page. Hollis residents interviewed include: Ken Towne, Peggy Gilmour, Tom Jambard, Cally Lingley, Honi Glover, Sharon Howe, Eleanor Whittemore, Ted Chamberlain, Dorothy Pitman, Pete Smith, David Gilmour, Jim Squires, Jim Belanger, Roger Saunders, Virginia Lund Wilkins, Russ Marcum, and Phyllis King.

We suggest watching three short documentaries below: Hollis the Way It Was, World War II, and Fun as Kids
And don’t forget, the Hollis Historical Society has donated a microphone, complete with simple directions, to the Hollis Social Library, so you can record your own family’s history. You may borrow this free of charge, and it comes with tips by Jill on how to conduct a thoughtful interview with your own family. A perfect memorable and lasting gift for your family members.
